2021 has moved into many strategies for small businesses to deliver not only for this year but for years to come. Some pundits say that the pandemic will be us far beyond 2021, even after the vaccine has been delivered.  Thus, and taken by the public. The epidemic has forced many businesses to shut down and many to go out of business forever.

Nevertheless, entrepreneurship has a way of developing new thinking from new sources and people who have never thought of entrepreneurship. Still, the opportunity and this thing of change made it a reality to bring this idea or product to the marketplace. The resilience of entrepreneurs is everlasting; the concept of creating something new and different is forever on the fore.

Some Survival Tips for 2021

Michelle Fox
AT MFOXCNBC wrote an article on this very subject on ways for small businesses to survive the pandemic moving forward in 2021. Not being rigid, and staying agile and listen to experts, and reshaping your business plan. Weighing all options on keeping your doors open is paramount and bringing in enough revenue to take care of overhead. For some, it may be the time to take a moment to analyze where your business is, what needs to change, and what works. The use of the phone or teleconferencing to substitute to face-to-face interaction that we have accustomed.

Mike Enright, Operations Manager, BizFiling, has some ideas to keep the doors open. One of Mike’s first things brought to bear was watching out for your health in putting health and safety first. The valuation of your finances by watching your cash-flow, and staying mindful of accounts receivables. In my opinion, staying relaxed as we go through these difficult times, understanding “this too shall pass.”

Thus, using the internet to move your business forward and understand and use digital marketing in your strategy could help your bottom-line. A sound CRM system to keep track of your leads, prospects and keeping your business data is updated. Discover other marketing strategies such as inbound marketing, email, and why content marketing is the new way of getting your ideas to the right persona at the right time, to possibly more research.

Digital Marketing

Inbound marketing is a subgroup of digital marketing. Inbound marketing is a methodology geared to content marketing to transfer your ideas and concepts to others. The theory of inbound is to communicate with an organization that wants what you have and have identified themselves through reading and responding to blogs or email that is focused on the organization’s issue for which you have the solution. Here, the idea is communicating with your prospects in a dialog, the two going back and forth on what solution can solve the problem.

The inbound philosophy is the method of growing your business by building significant, lasting interactions with prospects. It’s about evaluating and enabling these individuals to reach their goals at any stage in their journey with you. The inbound methodology can be summarized in three distinct ways:

  1. Attract: attracting the right people with valuable content and conversations that establish you as a trustworthy advisor with whom they want to engage.
  2. Engage: offering insights and solutions that align with their pain points and goals, so they are more likely to buy from you.
  3. Delight: offering help and support to enable your prospect to find success with their purchase.

Whereas digital marketing, takes a 360-degree approach on all areas of all things digital over that of conventional marketing. Digital is involved with areas of the internet such as email, content marketing, websites. The objective is to contact and have meaningful interaction with those interested in your product or service. The advent of the internet has given delivery to digital marketing. Digital Marketing Institute describes digital marketing this way, the use of new media or digital technology to achieve business and marketing goals that are constant with the internet range and its reach.
